An ever stronger commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Since its creation in 1954, BG Ingénieurs Conseils SA has been involved in designing and implementing regional projects for the benefit  f the society, the economy and its customers. At a time when the impact of global warming is becoming more and more crucial, BG can and must play a leading role in helping to curb the trends observed, and has made its development a matter of concern for the proper  balance between people and their environment.

In order to integrate these changes into the decisionmaking principles that guide our actions, Corporate Social Responsibility has logically become one of the four values of the company, alongside team spirit, trust and creativity. These values guide our culture, our operating methods and our decision-making principles.

Corporate Social Responsibility, which is now anchored in the Group’s fundamental values, in the “who we are”, has become an internal compass that guides us in our day-to-day activities.

Four areas of commitment made by the Group in terms of CSR

Applying Corporate Social Responsibility in a company means ensuring that integrity, ethics and fairness prevail in our society, committing ourselves to the well-being of all, and becoming aware of the impact of our actions and their consequences on the environment, which we have a duty to preserve. It also means actively contributing to setting goals and keeping our commitments.

In a context where society is expressing increasingly high expectations of companies in terms of social, ethical and environmental issues, we have defined four areas in 2020 to give concrete expression to our commitments in terms of our Social and Environmental Responsibility.

Our CSR Report formalises and shares these four areas of commitment made by the Group:

  • Combining economic performance and business ethics
  • Committing to the growth and development of our employees
  • Becoming involved in local life and contributing to its development
  • Respecting our environment

and describes the contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on which the Group has a major impact.
